Winnie the Pooh

Introducing Lynne Daniels

I have spent over 18 years working with children and families in different roles including mediation, child consultant, research assistant and as a psychologist. In government agencies, non-government agencies, and in group private practice before starting my own practice. This includes many years supporting children and families experiencing family separation.

My work is grounded in the healing power of relationships and focused on supporting children to develop a strong sense of self, emotional regulation and good communication, as well as strengthening relationships with their parents or caregivers and building an overall sense of trust and security through the experience of being heard, valued and understood.

As children can’t always translate actions into words, or feelings into words, I am very play based in my therapy. I am a Certified Synergetic Play Therapy therapist, which brings together my love of attachment theory with the neurobiology of the brain. I also love working with parents and am a trained facilitator in Circle of Security Parenting. In addition, I have completed Level 1, Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

My practice is based in the Launceston CBD within the Crabtree office building on York Street. My consulting space has a well-equipped play therapy room, which enables me to use my skills as a play therapist to engage, assess and work with my young clients. My consulting room is a warm and generous space where children, adolescents and adults can engage in the therapeutic services I offer.

When I am out of the office, I enjoy spending my time with my family and friends, bushwalking, the beach and taking my beloved dog Pepper for walks.
